It's very easy. You plug it into your OBDII port and then mount it. The mounting is probably the "least easiest" part of it because it depends on where you want to mount it. I custom mounted mine and took the extra time to make it look kickass, adjustable and removable if I want to use it for trouble codes on my other OBDII vehicle. The last thing you do is set it up (tell it your gas tank size, engine size and things like that). You can also change the display color and what gauges you want it to display (including a few custom ones). Up to 4 gauges can be displayed. Then, you follow their instructions for filling up the fuel tank for the first and second time. After that, you just tell it how much fuel you put in at each fill up. After like 4 fill ups (following the booklet that comes with it) mine showed the right amount of fuel that I pumped in so all i had to do was accept it.

It's a great on-board tool and one I would definitely recommend to anyone.

    Hope that helps.

Plugged mine in 2 weeks ago, love it.
I was playing with it in my mothers Corolla skate, and I was able to peddle 47mpg out of that thing, as I was returning from a craigslist mission.

    I picked this up....

I have mounted above the mirror. I monitor water temp, voltage, mpg and mph. I can look in the mirror and glance at it for mph and don't have to look down at the speedometer.

Just plug it into your OBDII port below your steering wheel to the left. I love and hate mine, because it makes me save gas and...it makes me save gas

    Just enough, and never enough
I'm very suspicious of this without a wideband controller but if there is a way to do this accurately my scangauge will be worth so much more
