I have 2. One in the Tacoma and one in the FJ Cruiser. Love them. Kind of scary to watch though.... I set mine up to show "Cost This Trip", so, based on the cost of the last tank of gas, it shows you what it's costing you to run your truck. I commute to work about 35 miles each way and it's a lot of $$.... the Scangauge is a very nice little unit.

I have 2 also. One in my 4Runner and one in the Tacoma. I love having it...it's interesting to know how both of my trucks are doing MPG wise, as with many other stuff that I can monitor. One thing I did notice with the Tacoma though is that the %engine load gauge seems off. It often reads that I'm using 30% of total engine power at idle . Other than that, no complaints from me.

I love mine! Use it all the time to monitor my gas usage. Its great to be able to get codes from check engine lights also. Saved me a ton of money fixing my old lady's honda!

To show CTT, or "cost this trip", the first thing to do is take a look at the user manual for programming the ScanGauge. It's easier to do than it seems, when you read the book.

    The values you need are:

    TX value: 80
    RX value: 8

Just as the AVG value does, the CTT value will zero out when the ScanGauge is turned off for as little as 3 minutes. So, if you stop for gas or something and the gauge goes of for a while, it will start over at $0 and start up again when you start the engine.
