Agreed! Great company to do business with and excellent customer service!

As I posted previously here. I bought a new ScanGuageII Last week so I could monitor my trans temps but unfortunately these codes didn't work as the new gauge had an older version firmware. I sent an email explaining my issue, which version firmware I had and I attached a copy of my reciept. I received a reply from Cristina @ LinearLogic on Tuesday explaining that I needed v4.22 for these to work and that if i'd reply with my ship to info they will 2day priority mail a new unit to me with the lastest firmware and also include a postage paid return label so that I could send the other back. All on the honor system, no questions asked. I got the tracking info yesterday and it will be here tomorrow.

Kudos to linear logic, great customer service is not dead ! I bought a new scangauge 2 that must have been on the shelves awhile from advanced auto.
The gauge had version 4.13 on it and the new tran temp codes would not work.Linear logic sent me a new gauge with version 4.22 on it at no cost very quickly.
works great reading the tran temp now. Thank you Linear Logic !!!

Sorry I can't answer your question but that was the very reason I got rid of my UltraGuage and bought the ScanGauge. UG has the most useless website and WORST customer service I've ever seen.

Just to jump on the bandwagon: Linear Logic (ScanGauge) has excellent customer service and are very supportive of enthusiasts (such as figuring out the transmission temperature codes for us, and I've seen them do similar on other forums). That's why I went with the SGII for my Tacoma. Plus, as an embedded systems guy, I have a lot of respect with the interface design. It really is a thing of beauty how intuitive the menu system is considering the complexity and feature set of the system. By comparison, my stupid toaster oven takes 4 button presses to make toast.

As a commercial pilot (airplanes and helicopters) I appreciate tools that assist with both monitoring as well as performance management. The SGII is such a tool.

I just got back from Arizona. I was towing my 1670 lb tear drop in 108 degree weather up and down desert mountains on hwy 17. TF1 would run 194-199. The TF2 would stay within 2 degrees of TF1 unless the transmission shifted from 4th down to 3rd. It would jump quickly to 210-220 but would return quickly to within 2 degrees of the TF1 reading. Water temp never went over 201.

To clarify...the TF2 would return to within 2 degrees of the TF1 once the transmission shifted back from 3rd to 4th while in the "S" shift mode. Water temp was mostly in the low 190s and once went to 201 on a steep long grade with the a/c off.

As long as the transmission stayed in 4th gear the two temps would stay between 194-197.

Interesting enough being in the middle of a truck convey can be helpful too.

By far the highest temperature I have seen was 240 on TF2 while using CRAWL Control over a long stretch of sand up a slight hill. It seemed to stabilize slightly lower and then cooled right down once we got moving. Outside air temperature was probably in the mid 50's, but intake air was over 120 degrees due to the high engine load and limited air flow under the hood. If you think about how CC works, the torque converter has to be slipping quite a bit, so this seems like a reasonable outcome.

My 2009 4cyl runs at 195 under light load so that looks normal to me.

Just got my ~17 today (late Nov build). I get nothing (blank) for TF1 and TF2 when using the "codes that work" with my freshly updated SGII (v4.22).

Any '17 owners get the codes to work?

Bummer. Since it works for NorcalAP2, at least you have hope.
