Here is how mine is installed. Does anyone know what TF1 and TF2 actually mean? For example, TF1 is fluid temp before entering cooler and TF2 is after the cooler.
Definitely not too bright and not an eyesore having matched the oem interior color. I used a bendmount to attach to the mirror

I have my Scangage II now with Trans temps TF1 and TF2 working . It was 47 degrees outside. My TF1 and 2 very a little but I pretty much was running 186 degrees at 60 mph in D. I dropped it into S -3rd and ran it at 60 mph (5000 rpm I think, to simulate towing )and it ran at 196 degrees . I put it back in D and it dropped back to 186 This seems to be what was reported last june when hot outside when towing .
What are you guys getting in the cold weather ?
Does anyone know what the trans oil cooler thermostat is set for ?

i get about the same temps in midwest weather...i believe the ATF runs through the radiator so it will stay close to the water temp.

Anyone with Blind spot monitoring and a Scangage II on their tacoma ? I have both and drove my truck for the 2nd time now with the scangage plugged in . The scangage stopped reading and I had to press a button on it to start reading again . This happened several times. (It acted like they do when the truck is not running and shuts odd after 12 seconds) then I got a the amber triangle alarm with the "!"mark in the center come up on the dash but with no buzzer. Then I got a message alarm to check the Blind spot monitoring system . I shut off the truck and restarted it and it all happened again in the same order . I then shut off the truck , unplugged the scangage II and restarted the truck . Guess what , no more alarms and all seems fine. Drove it on a 115 mile trip and no alarms .
Anyone else have this problem ? I plan to call Scangage next week .
I had a very similar problem with the Bluetooth OBDII adapter and the Torque app on my phone only with it, it made the check ABS alarm come on and the check charging system alarm . These also went away after taking it off the truck.

I have had my Scan Guage II installed in my truck for about 2 weeks now, I have BSM on all the time and I have not had any ussues. I also run Carista sometimes and have had no issues either. Hope when you call they can give you info to fix your issue. I love the SG II!

I've had the scan gauge blank out on me and a simple press of a button starts it back up but never warning lights or my blight spot monitoring acting up...hope all gets better for your taco...hopefully its an easy fix like a the OBD2 port connection was loose or the truck needs a firmware update

Well that 2 of you that did not experience the problem I had . Maybe my BSM has a problem ?
When I turn it off with the button and turn it on again , the side view mirrors both have the little amber car pictures light up and shut off . I assume that is the self test ? , no alarms and the button light stays on but I am not sure it is really working .
Is this how you BSM behaves on startup ?

I have Blind Spot Monitoring and a ScanGuage II.

I did have my Blind Spot Monitoring throw an error message, but this was before I installed the ScanGuage II. They replaced the Master Module. I haven't had any errors/messages come up after installing the ScanGuage II.

I did have the ScanGuage II not come back on after engine startup, I had to disconnect and reconnect the OBD side of the ScanGuage II connector to get to display again. I got my dad a ScanGuage II for his Tundra and he had this issue with the ScanGuage II not coming back on once also. Had to disconnect and reconnect the OBD side of the ScanGuage II connector as well. Guess I really should call Linear Logic and let know about this.

I have wondered if having this device plugged in can cause mayhem with the truck systems. I did some research early on but found conflicting data at best.

Sounds like your BSM system is ok at start up. If I turn mine off than on it does the same as yours. Might need to take to a dealer if the issue continues. Hope all gets fixed for you quickly.

UPDATE . I called the scangage people and and they had not heard of the BSM alarm with a 2016 Tacoma until me while using the Scangage II . They were very helplful though . They sent me a Can only cable . So far I did 6- start , drive , shut down restart drive cycles , and have not had an alarm . BSM is working fine etc. Fluke with the last Check BSM system alarm ? It has not happened again and so far all is working including trans temps.

Linear Logic sent me a logging device that sends requests and logs responses for ~30 minutes help determine what the computer can/will report. Anyway, I'm about to send that back... don't know if it will give them any info they don't already have.

Luckily (sort of), I had the foresight to ask that they send another SGII with the logger to eliminate my unit as the problem. Well, the unit they sent (v4.42) works with my truck; so, good news for everyone but me. So, if you have a ~10 year old SGII like me it may not work even after the 4.22 upgrade.

FYI: Fuel Level (FLV) still doesn't work with either unit.

I asked for a 4.22 and he said he would send a 4.22; but, when I checked it was 4.42.

I suspect 4.42 is still being evaluated.

Linear Logic must be trying to solve it . 2017,s different ?
I hope you do get it working for the trans temps , for me , it is the only reason I wanted it , to use for towing and such.
