So I had a couple of mountain bikes in the back of my truck and I'm guessing one of the handle bars had a hard edge and must have rubbed against the window as I noticed these scratches on the rear window/glass (not really glass...but some plastic type material). Seems to be etched in black.

I've already tried some Scratch/Swirl remover with no success.

Any idea/solutions to clean these up?

You could try some Carpro Ceriglass on their rayon polishing pads with a Dual Action polisher. That's the go-to for polishing glass. It's a lot of work and takes time, but it allows you to remove wiper trails, blemishes, etc. Not sure how it would work on plexiglass or lexan.

Give this a try. Even if it doesn't work, it's good to have around to maintain your head and taillights

Great stuff for clear plastics. I have a hunch the rear window will be too hard for PlastX, but definitely worth a try. If nothing else, maybe it'll round the edges of the scratches and make them a little less noticeable.

Now use it on your headlights and tails every couple of months. Be sure to shake it up good, as it tends to separate.

The tails in the pic are nearly 6 years old.

I love it on head and tail lights, simply as a maintenance product. Even if you don't think they need "polishing", use it for a "deep clean" a couple times a year. Just put a few small drops on a towel or foam pad, work it into the lens surface until it almost disappears and then wipe clean.

I think getting them back to "super smooth" in this way helps a lot in making the lenses hold up for much longer.

I believe ScratchX also has a built in sealant to help preserve the plastic.

Make it part of your maintenance routine. I usually do a couple of cycles on them.

Been using it for years on all sorts of things

Isn't it a very satisfying product? So easy to use and makes the lenses bright and clear.

Yes I like it. Mine are/were in excellent condition and as I keep them clean and use a spray wax regularly on the headlights & tail lights. I think they did clean up better with this product and it leaves a wax like feel after. I'll be using this moving forward followed up by a spray wax.

I use it on things around the house all the time, too! Works great on plastic sunglasses lenses. As well as vehicle instrument panels.

On instrument panels, I wad up a small piece of paper towel inside a small microfiber lens cloth. So it's a little ball slightly larger than the size of a pea. Then I wipe a drop of ScratchX on the "pea" and then use it to polish the plastic. It starts to get a little tacky toward the end of its buffing cycle, so I stop at that point and clean off remaining product with a second lens cloth and an aerosol plastic cleaner from Autogeek.

Note: I only do this if a panel is in great need of a polish. You can easily mar the plastic, as I'm sure most are aware. If a panel is in good condition, don't make it worse. But you can drastically improve an already marred up panel.
