Toytec yes. Not sure about DSM. Several threads on here that give the code to Toytec.

I have 5100's at 0 with OME 885 coils. I couldnt get better than 1 degree of caster with stock uca.

Im now running LR uca's and have them set to +1 and the allignments at 2 degrees of caster and the drive is a lot more stable on the highway.(doesn't feel loose)

Edit: don't get me wrong it was completely drivable before, but i am much happier with the ride now.

gotcha - so does the ICON AAL lower the load carrying capacity becuase you're removing the overload leaf from the stock leaf pack? It looks like the ICON AAL replaces the capacity of the overload leaf by adding 3 leafs in its place.

Can you leave the overload leaf in place to get more lift (2" compared to 1.5" without it)? it shouldn't effect ride quality since its not engaged. Is there an issue with this?

Do you have a top plate spacer installed as well?

only the 1/4 in driver side lean spacer. It made my truck just about perfectly level side to side.

The instructions that come with the Icon 3-leaf AAL tell you to remove the overload leaf when you install. The reasoning for this is added flex. DSM has confirmed that the overload leaf can be left in place and I kept mine in when I installed mine. Without the overload, you can expect 1.5" of lift +/-, with the overload in place, you can expect about 2" of lift. for normal, every day driving, you will not notice the overload being in there. The leaf pack will flex just fine. When you really load it down, the leaf pack will compress and sit on the overload leaf for support. The 3-leaf AAL and stock leaf pack will support weight well. You do need to add quite a bit of weight to make it sit on the overload. I'm in the middle of a home renovation so I opted to keep the overload because I don't tow or haul often, but when I do it's usually pretty damn heavy. With the overload in place, I've had over 1,000 lbs in the bed and it rode perfectly fine. Because the AAL is progressive, when you first start adding weight, they start to sink fairly quickly (because they gain strength as you compress them). On the flip side, when unloaded, they ride very smooth as apposed to a single AAL.

FWIW, I'm running standard Bilstein 5100's in the rear and haven't topped them out. I also don't off road my truck so I haven't really pushed them either.

Also depends if on what take you take on it on how much to spend since you spoke to your wife about it...

With everything with my 3" Toytec Ultimate Lift, Tires, UCAs, Dakar leaf pack, and installation....$4000

    Haha I hear you Cowboy...

That's why I'm spoon feeding the customization over time,

1st - practical (tonneau, bed extender, etc.)
2nd -MAYBE practical - the lift kit (better suspension for future hauling...or so that'll be my argument - it's really just for looks).
3rd - Completely impractical (wheels and tires - when the current tires wear out).

BTW, i like the TRD wheels a lot - I almost bought a TX Pro (partially for just the wheels), but decided to save $$ and get an SR5

Pugga - Thanks for the info too, this is exactly what I needed to hear. I have a pretty clear picture of what I need to get to accomplish what I want now :)

Here's some food for thought on the lift kit, and maybe a sell for your wife... The leaf springs on the Tacoma suck for towing or hauling. I'm on my third set and finally smartened up and put the AAL in there to support them. If you wait until the leaf pack is flat and no longer functioning as it should, it's too late for an AAL. Putting an AAL into a flat leaf pack is just a band aid. If you wait until that happens, then you're better off with a replacement leaf pack.

So, just think of all the money you're saving by doing it now!

Also, I found that it's cheaper to beef up the suspension by lifting. Trying to build a stronger suspension at stock height is difficult. There's more aftermarket support for lifted applications (another selling point to the wife) :D

hahaha, if i go through all the trouble of installing the lift myself you better believe i'm going to change my own oil, she's short so she can probably stand under there and help me too.

Don't mention that... My fiance is shorter and HATES that the truck is lifted. She didn't care when I did it, but she rode with me once wearing a fairly tight skirt, and when to climb into the truck and ripped the skirt. She hadn't considered that when I was contemplating the lift and didn't realize it until it was too late. If she's short, don't mention the truck being taller!

It's actually become a very useful thread despite starting off as a joke. I'm going to reference it in the future when I do my lift.
