Securing rear hatch while hauling long cargo

    Tailgate up, hatch open. How do you guys secure the hatch to keep it from flopping around? The frameless window on my leer 100xr has really dinky hinges.

    Bungee cord looped over the handle down to the bumper. That's one of the reasons I got the T style handle instead of the flat latch. You could probably loop some cord around the glass and tie it down that way.

    I normally shut my hatch, and leave the tailgate down. Less stress on the hatch

    Brake controller, Snugtop, Hellwig981, Gentex, custom frame bending and body removal by red light runner.

    But if I don't, I hook a bungee to the latch rods that run from my center handle to the sides of the window frame. If you have side latchs on either side, I would hook to them to pull the hatch down to rest on the load.
