I usually upload some mods on my IG: seoulja99

I'm pretty bad at uploading photos on my build page, my bad. :anonymous:

So, my JBL head unit has been randomly rebooting itself and dropping Bluetooth connection. It would also stop me from changing the source. :frusty: Became very annoying, so I had it switched out just the head unit with a Kenwood DDX 794 6.95-inch 2-DIN DVD Receiver with Bluetooth and HD Radio, JBL Adapter, wires and diodes (to maintain the Anytime Rear Camera Mod). This head unit had an option for a separate front cam, so took out the Camera-source.com Toyota Multi Camera Video Interface for Display Radios component that was necessary for the OEM head unit. Separately wired the front camera directly to the Kenwood head unit, and also maintained my Anytime Rear Camera Mod to the SwitchPro. Front and Rear Cameras work well! The quality of image from the Factory Rear Camera is poor, but, better than nothing! Plus got to clear up some space behind the head unit. It was getting crammed back there with all the wires and different devices to operate what I wanted. :D This also freed up a spot under the AC controls for possibly another dual USB port. Don't think I can ever have enough USB ports. LOL!

Now, the only issue is the JBL adapter component. It is causing a hissing/static noise. From what the senior tech said, it happens all the time; and the only solution is to adjust with an amp. Luckily, I still have my JL Audio XD400W/4v2 4-channel amp from my previous truck, so I'll have that installed tomorrow and hopefully resolve the issue!

That was last week's ordeal...and then Saturday, my buddy and I installed the Archive Garage Shackle Flip Kit. Quality product with good instructions. One thing to note, if you're not going to plasma cut...you're better off cutting the rivet heads, then drill them out to spec, and then punch out. We grinded the first rivet down and it just ended up getting fatter/swollen due to the heat. Not to mention, it was difficult to see the actual location of the pin to determine where to hit it in the middle for the center punch. But, managed to work through all of it, and it turned out awesome. I'll upload before and after pics of the flex soon.

The crazy part is, while we were finishing the install, another buddy stopped by and showed us the IG post by Archive Garage. Archive Garage pointed out the fact that the Factory 05+ Tacoma bushings and hangers are 2.875" wide, while AllPro supplies 2.75" bushing sleeves with their springs. Additionally, AllPro says/said a shackle flip voids the warranty on their springs. :annoyed:

Luckily, Archive Garage is coming through! Sending me and Rick (squint0241) 1/8" thick x 2" OD with 0.5625 ID spacers! :fingerscrossed:

The shitty part is that AllPro's own Black Betty runs a shackle flip, but they won't support their customers who have their leaf packs with a warranty to their smaller/thinner bushings and hangers. :anonymous:
