(serious..ish) What's with everyone buying a truck, spending 20k in mods, and selling a month later?

What I’ve seen is people get bored and with the crazy market they’re getting their money back. Take off all mods and resell them. Likely taking a very small loss (if that). Take your now stock tacoma,4R, etc and resell in this insane vehicle market for more than what they purchased the car for.

Only regret is is didn’t dump my 3rd gen sooner. Loved my 1st gen. I’m just here for the Dumpster fires and Shenanigans now.

One, it's just a truck. You aren't married to it.

Two, they've made about 1.5 million of these things. On the TW 3rd gen Tacomas for sale page there are...10? 20? less than one year old Tacomas for sale. So, yeah "everyone is selling them"

Three, not long ago there were multiple posts from owners losing their minds over the fact they paid well over $30,000 for a brand new 4x4 Tacoma, and now we have posts of retards bragging how they scored a smoking deal on a used 3 year old Tacoma with just 75,000 miles on it for just $35,000. That's a good motivator if you were all ready leaning towards buying something else. (i.e. you buy whatever you heard was cool this week and you desperately need to have other peoples approval)

Four, the few that come here to run their cock holsters wide open because they desperately need to let people know they bought something else and need the approval of strangers make it seem like that number is higher than it actually is.

    Five, see "One"

    Stock and staying that way
This has been a trend as long as Internet message boards have been around. I remember it in the 90s on camaroz28.com (my account was created in June of 1998).

IMO it most can be summed up as the credit card bills come due.

People who don’t need a truck buy a truck because of the “community” or what ever it is they tell themselves to justify it. Then when it doesn’t drive like a sports car after a lift and an additional ton of crap they MIGHT use once a year they complain and sell it

That was going to by my assumption. Lots of folks were working dork home did some out door stuff got into it had nothing to do but buy truck parts then things went back to daily grind so time time sell. Shit I know while killing time parts were bought but no plans to sell.

It's all about trendy overlanding. Ten years ago, the rooftop boys didn't exist, today they are everywhere (most are dust-free). Come back in five or 10 years and 90% of those guys will be gone. I count the days.
