Seriously over Ray 10

Wow, they have almost nothing in stock !

Just spoke to SCS, next container arriving early June, they will make an announcement two days before and we can HOPE to purchase a lottery ticket (that’s kinda a joke, but I think you get the point).

I don’t need anything so bad that I need to get ready, to get in line, to order and maybe get to order !

Add me to the group that just says no thanks, there are plenty of other wheels on the market. Good luck to all : )

 

Well...after a bit more looking at wheels, different brands, weights, etc.

Last night I was looking at Ray10’s again through Freeman Toyota and they have basically everything in stock. Ordered the 17x8.5 gunmetal’s this morning, called them a few mins later to verify stock .

So rather than deleting my post above, I wanted to share my story.

 

I ordered a set of Ray10s through freeman cause I missed the last shipment.. came about a week later in the mail.

 

Mine took 27 hours & 10 mins from order to garage (Freeman Toyota).

Yesterday....

Today...

Not finished yet, but I wanted the brushed metal ring : )

 

what size are those 17x8.5 or 17x9. Look freaking amazing

 

Just ordered a set of 16” Ray10s in gunmetal and lugs from Freeman Toyota in Texas. I immediately received a confirmation email. At checkout, it said I should have them by March 10th-12th. Fingers crossed.

I was looking hard at a few of the Method models, but the fact that the Ray10s are hub-centric and designed specifically with the Tacoma in mind, finally made the decision for me.

 

i ordered my gunmetals from Freeman also cause i kept missing out on SCS releases. make sure you inspect the rims upon receipt i had to send one back cause it was pretty scratched up.

 

Thanks for the heads-up! I’ll be sure to look them over carefully. Hopefully they are as perfect as I am hoping.

 

I have to thank SCS. They were the reason I was able to get into a set of 3rd gen take offs for a screaming deal.

 

Thanks for the heads up on Freeman having them back in stock! They made it to Cali in pristine shape thanks to the extra packaging they through around the factory box. Super stoked they came in time to get put on with everything else.

 

how much was shipping? Im in CA as well and I may just bite the bullet rather than wait for their drop later tonight on SCS

 

I refused to pay shipping and SCS allowed me to pick up (I’m local) However, after months of waiting and them never having the size/color I wanted, I ended up buying Method NVs.

I still want some SCS Ray10s eventually.

 

Smart move. Since getting the methods 2 weeks ago, I’m getting vibes once I go over 40mph. Might have to do with the lug centric vs hub centric argument.

I’m hoping an alignment will help. I’ve already gotten my wheels balanced twice at two different shops, no luck.

 

Yeah its prob the center bore on those Methods. I actually ordered hub centric rings to (108 to 106.1) for the NV's, found them on ebay for like $8 shipped, those might help with your vibration perhaps

 

Thats my next step if the alignment doesn’t help. Tho I’ve read the center caps wont fit with the hub centric rings. If that’s the case, goodbye center caps

 

I even ordered the flat center caps from MESO already too lol, those might fit? I personally like the no center cap look on NV's with the hubs painted black..
