I just got back from having to replace the serpentine belt on my 2018 TRD OR. It was squealing anytime I would push on the accelerator. I only have 38,600 miles. It seems way to early for that belt to go bad so soon. Has anyone had similar issues with the serpentine belt?

    Thx!

Did it get wet in a water crossing, excessive rain or hosing the engine down.... yes, there have been a few belt squeakers

Thanks for the info. No issues with it getting wet so I guess it just gave up the ghost

Recently just had my serpentine belt start squealing anytime I gas it from a stop. May be there whenever on the accelerator but have only noticed at low speeds. 2019 37.5k on it.

Had the same issue. Took my 2017 (33,000 miles) in this weekend and had the serpentine belt replaced. It was so bad that if I was at a crawl in a parking lot the high pitched chirping was embarrassing. It was even worse at freeway speeds.

While I was at the stealership, they informed me that I needed my rack and pinion replaced...quoted $3,100. Pftt....:(

It shouldn't make noise. Before it is replaced, make sure the pulleys and bearings are checked and working as they should and replace any that are not.
The belt should last much longer than that. Mine is over 60k miles and over 5yrs old and I'm going to replace it as a precaution just because of age and long travels in hot climate, but it is working quietly with no issues.

I would find an independent reputable shop and ask them to inspect it, don't say the stealer told you to. You'll come out a lot better unless you have warranty. But even then, if i'ts good why change it and risk them damaging other components?
