Interesting... TIS doesn't seem to identify one of the sensors as a 'spare', just ID1thru ID5. If you can use the null value if your spare isn't TPMS equipped, I wonder if setting them all to null wouldn't disable it altogether?

You cannot set more than one to all 0's or F's. The input value has to be different for each one.

@RickG, TIS doesn't know which wheel ID number is in which position on the truck. To figure that out, you have to let some air out of each tire and look for the pressure reading in TIS to go down.

Ahh... Well, there goes that theory; thanks. Personally not a fan of disabling TPMS, but many people seem to want to. I suppose that given the potential for liability, Toyota wouldn't make it that easy to do.

Hi guys, would appreciate some help with this situation im having.

I bought some used TPMS off of eBay. Guy said they still worked last time he had them in. They are the same model as the OEM in the Tacomas. Forgot to write down the IDs but used the eBay seller picture to get the codes. Went into Techstream but the IDs give me error codes for IDs not received.

Could these TPMS still be tied to the vehicle they came out of?

I found this on another thread>Something to verify since you have a screenshot of the IDs-
The most likely cause of the incompatibility is that the GEN III Tacomas expect a 7 character HEX value for the sensors and the current aftermarkets are mostly just 6 character. This I read on some other sites and I confirmed I do have 7 character TPMS sensors installed with my read tool.

The sensors are PMV-C015 from a Toyota Camry. Should be the same in my stock wheels.
