Apologies if covered before ...could you please recommend a 2" hitch receiver with shackel combo that is preferably as short as possible. Got garage length constraints. Many thanks!

I have the Curt d-ring shackle mount. It is probably too long for your specification.

i just bought one from menards. mine seems great. i fliped it backwards so no one can see it normally, and add my shakles when i need them. although for top quality i would definitly recommend a small manufacturer

You know you don't have to leave it in all the time right?

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
I have one from Curt Mfg. I take it out when I don’t need it, because I’m not trying to impress anyone with my broverlander cred.

Indeed, just want a short one for when I forget to remove it and garage door clips it.

I've got the Curt. I removed the shackle and have the hitch flipped around so it's just a small block of metal sticking out, not even noticeable. Probably less likely to be the target of an opportunist than one of those vanity hitches like claymores and lights.

I attach a soft shackle to the pin inside the receiver. It is also a closed double shear connection, so it is as safe as it gets. It is a very strong and solid connection that is way shorter than anything you can have sticking out of the receiver.
