I have a '95 tacoma 2.7 liter. The truck has 140k miles on it. When i stop at stop lights it the truck idols rough the whole truck shakes violently. I have given it a tune up, changed motor mounts, and ran injector cleaner through it 3 times. After the injector cleaner got ran through it it wasnt so bad. It is still bad enough that i need to put it in neutral at stop lights because it shakes so bad. It seemed to start about 10k miles ago and has gotten worse. Anybody have any ideas of what else it could be. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

the title of this thread is very misleading, from reading it I couldnt understand why nyone would want to talk about american idol on here. idol=person idle=engine sry but that really threw me off.

check your spark plugs and let us know what you find.

It might be in the engine. One of the cylinders may be rubbing slightly. Try a cylinder leak down test to check it out.

cheapest thing to do would be to seafoam it, and clean the throttle body. easy to do to. that would probably be the first test id try.
