Can someone confirm or verify if V-Power really does save MPGs? I noticed my MPGs improving and I know V-Power has additives that supposedly do the trick. My MPGs went from 15-16s to 18-20s MPGs. It seems like a little to coincidental, and I'm not sure if there was another factor to it.
I guess what I want to check out is; if V-Power is so great why doesn't it beat out all the competitors?

I haul fuel, so I have a tiny foot in the game, fuel is pretty much all the same shit. Exxon gets some additives from a big tank pumped in as you load, so does shell. For "special cases" I carry a 3 gallon jug of additive in the truck to dose my 9000 gallon deliveries, if a location requests it be winterized, or adtl lubricants added. Same jug does both.

No way does 1 gallon per 1000-2000gallons of fuel or whatever their ratio is(it's going to be stupid stupid low) equate to 10%-20% gain in mpg. There's absolutely no way, especially not from 1 tank of gas. It's all placebo and driving style. Adtl cleaners can make a difference over time I'm sure, but not in 300 miles worth of fuel. Hell no. The fuel comes from the same million+ gallon tanks, (they are huuuuuuge) loaded from the same exact arms, and some companies add a squirt of their "good stuff" to it.

Fun fact, diesel and off-road diesel usually come from the same arm as well, they just flush the last 30 or gallons of your dyed diesel with clear so that the arm is ready to go for the next guy.

Hope that helps clear things up.

It's how the fuel shark worked so effectively. Subtle changes in driving style, even with the suggestion that you're already being more efficient, can go a long ways
