Albeit it will cost quite a bit more than the 400p but will come standard as an all inclusive and portable weather and dust resistant unit with a water pump and strainer, and not only will the dual compressors be automatic, but it will have an adjustable pressure cutoff switch that can be set to your desired tire PSI for hands free, set-it and forget-it operation, the compressors will auto shutoff when your desired tire pressure is acheived. All plumbed to easy to use quick connect air fittings and a single marine plug on the outside of the box for power!

The case looks excellent, but I'm stoked with what I have.


I have been trying to come up with a reason to grab one of the HF cases to try out, but I haven't found a need yet other than the big Plano that I have in the bed.

Unfortunately, my compressor lives happily in the big case.

Things might change when I get the rear winch power sorted out.

 

I close on my first home next week, and move in the following week so the next month or so will be pretty stagnant on the development side as I settle in my new place. Still need to do some abusive testing on it and beef up whatever breaks. I'm hoping I'll have a final product by the end of the year!

I've been fairly impressed with the air up times with the dual compressor setup. It takes 6 minutes to air up four 285/75-16's(33's) from 15-35psi, and 12 minutes from 0-38psi.

I've landed a dealer account with Viair, which has cut costs a little bit; working on developing relationships with the other manufacturers who's parts this is made up with, and finding a cheaper manufacturer to develop the brake bent CNC plates that package everything together. I'm really really shooting for them to be in the $5-600range.

Once I finalize the design of everything I'll post glamour pictures, in the meantime, here's the prototype mounted to the side of my bed rack!
