Is there a way to turn off the display so that it doesn't tell you that it has shifted gears (S3, S4, etc)?

Yes. There is. I know it’s in the manual but I don’t have in front of me.

It’s in the settings for the display in the cluster behind the steering wheel.

Can you still turn ECT on when driving, or does the SSP eliminate the need to turn ECT on? I ask because when towing, per the Toyota manual, you're supposed to turn ECT on. If I have the SSP installed and set to mode 3 (recommended for towing) would I still turn ECT on too?

I read through the FAQ and it didn't answer my question.

Ok, if the SSP is supposed to hold gears longer (among other things) like ECT does, what will turning ECT on while the SSP is active do?

Whichever wants to hold a lower gear at a certain point in time will override the other

I installed my first mod this evening....yes it was the Shift Sense Pro V2. It was just as described by the manufacturer: simple installation, and took about 15 minutes. I drove the truck about 6 miles in mode 3 and again in mode 2. I'll leave it in mode 2 for the next several days and then check out mode 1 just so I know how it feels. I am guessing that mode 2 is where I will mostly use it.

In the 2 short drives on a Pennsylvania hilly back road it was VERY IMPRESSIVE. I am also very impressed by the caliber of product and the caliber of the designer. I am thankful for the engineer type people in the world that will not rest until they can make something good even better.

Yeah it works great. Smooths out the shifting, increases throttle response, been getting about the same mpg as stock. I've got no complaints. @Tig3r_Bit

So has anyone had issues where it just stays in 4th almost to 60 mph going downhill and gas pedal not pressed hard?, I have had this happen 2-3 times now and once just recently jumped from 4th to 6th?
