I have to thank @dcz108 for his exceptional service and attention to detail. I received the updated chip, which included detailed instructions for installing AND testing the device after installing the new chip, AND a screwdriver to remove the cover and chip.

My Tacoma drives like a dream now and I'm slowly getting the point where shifting into S mode is natural and always thinking about the trucks odd shifting is a thing of the past. I can finally enjoy simply driving it!

    BEST. UPGRADE. EVER!

Just received & installed the updated chip - easy, although I did bend the pins in the old chip while removing it... but that was because I didn't remove the unit and I have it located right next to the accelerator pedal - very awkward position.

    The instructions were outstanding.

Overall - excellent & I continue to like the truck more thanks to this mod!

OP - do you want me to mail the old chip back to you?

    a bunch of mods

Hello, I PM'd you to discuss the operation of the device. Yours does have the latest chip, and you should definitely notice a difference from OEM! We will get it figured out for you!

The shift sense works awesome! I really enjoy driving with it. Does anyone think could be a downside to using it? Any long term affect on anything?

Order 1107 - had it in my garage for 2 weeks since my dealer reflashed my tranny with Rev 2. Thought it was good until I went up the mountain.

I ended up installing it today. Took less than 10 mins. Test drove it and it drives like it's supposed to be. No need to stab the throttle to get power. Feels much torquier (read peppy) and fun to drive. Helps that I have 33" 6 ply Nitto Ridge Grapplers on a 3" lift.

TLDR: awesome MOD. Just get one of you haven't yet.

Just installed the new chip yesterday and drove to town and back. Only about 7 miles, but it's 1000 foot climb back up on fairly steep, crooked road. The new chip program puts the icing on the cake! Shifts like it should when it should and always in the power band when you need it. If you're driving an auto, this is THE BEST thing you can spend your money on IMHO!
