Looking for recommendations for shocks and struts. I have a 2002 Tacoma that is all original. I want to replace the shocks and struts. I want quality and am ok with paying for it, but also don’t want to spend money foolishly. What is the best choice without overpriced for the sake of spending?

I’ll put in another vote for Bilstein 5100s. I think these trucks look great with a small lift. I just put in a pair myself and really happy with the results.

Interior Reupholstered.
Bilstein with OEM coil springs + replacing worn bushings and other suspension components will make it glide and give you the option to level the front. You'll notice an immediate and significant difference in road behavior.

If you keep your stock height get bilstein 4600's. I just ordered a set of 4 off Amazon for $299 free shipping 2 days ago

If you'd like vendor guidance, Hotshot Offroad and @memario1214 is worth contacting.

Last year I shipped a set of 4600s to a friend in Honduras with a 2001 and he was quite happy with them.

I can't wait to ride with my new bilsteins. I'm still sporting the original tokico shocks that came on it in 2001. It's gonna be a good day.

Are you looking to go stock?

I did these a while back (year or so?) Bilsteins all around, Moog springs as close to stock as possible. Best price I found on assembled coilovers. Contact them to confirm, they are very responsive.

Here's the story and how they came. (Page back in that thread for even more info.)

To add to the above, 4600's are the "stock height" while 5100's are adjustable, if you want that.

I went with a preassembled kit through SRQ fabrications. My original coils were shot so I needed the whole assembly replaced, and I don't have easy access to a spring compressor, so I needed them pre assembled.

I'll throw in a vote for bilsteins. I recently put 5100's in the rear and 6112's in the front. the front coilovers are pretty beefy with a 60mm piston and they dont take any shit. You're getting a pretty fine hunka' metal without having legit racing equipment that needs maintenance every 50k miles. only downside was the build time, but thats only if you cant/dont want to put them together yourself.
