So my next question is: Are we now torquing our spark plugs to whatever ft/lbs is recommended?

I’ve replaced spark plugs on lawnmowers, dirt bikes, atv’s, 2.3L, 4.9L, 5.0L and never used a torque wrench and never had an issue. Is everyone else in here using a torque wrench on spark plugs?

Took my tacky black badge covers off today, much cleaner imo. Little modification while it’s rotting waiting for its 9.5 rear end

I've always done the recommended torque when it's provided. For the plugs, it's 15 ft lbs

Me personally, never…. I feel for the seal ring squish. Seen rings not squish with torque wrench and then you have a loose plug and then Ooops.
Nothing is perfect. For someone that never does it, yea you probably should. Let it sit for 5 min and retorque.
Using a 1/2 inch ratchet with a 2 foot handle is not a appropriate tool.

They are everywhere. No matter which way you go you see them standing, running, or dead.

I need to learn how to read, I was looking at our home owners insurance, not our auto. Our auto actually came down some :anonymous:

I’m honored. However, I’m reconsidering my technique. I’m gonna give the crush washer touch a shot
