I’ve always liked the look of the short beds vs long beds. To me SBs always look more like off-road oriented machines, and LBs always look like work trucks. I myself bought a long bed for the extra space and utility, and I’m happy with my choice.

I DO want to make the long bed look less like a work truck though, so I wanted to pick your brains on ways to break up the look of the bed to look more short beddy. Removing the decals on the bed makes it look even longer IMO, so to me it stands to reason that some type of graphics or decals on the bed might help this.

Maybe a headache rack or overland rack? I would say a topper would also make it look long.

When I added some Voodoo Hi-Rise Cross Bars and a Tepui RTT, it sort of "filled" that gap in a way and makes the bed (and overall truck length) more proportionate...if that makes sense.

That absolutely makes sense. I put a softopper on mine, and it certainly helped. I have a sense that a small graphical addition like the TRD Pro graphics on the side of the bed might help. I'd personally rather have less than more, but if it helps break up the look of the LB, I'm down.

Always park on a mountain, it makes the truck look smaller.

Longbed for looks and the room. Short Bed if you can’t park a small pick up.

Either one is fine with me. I always think it’s funny when someone says one is better off road, they’re both the exact same length and wheelbase, except DCLB.

Really, I like the ACLB, it’s only 13” shorter inside and extra foot in the bed. Plus the clamshell doors so it fully opens up.

That's the setup I initially wanted. Went max size due to tools for work. Now the benefit is goose gears platforms fit.

Had to look up Goose Gears.

The cheapest is get some free milk crates in four corners and screw a 1/2” sheet plywood on top, seal it with varnish. Cost less than $40, much less if you already have the wood.

Use the 4 milk crates for storage and underneath.

I find especially with a cap on it, it looks like a long SUV, but hey at least you can sleep in it. Can't in my 5ft box!

But ya, you would bottom out more Off-Roading! And a LB wouldn't fit in my garage!

Right? Like on the test drive of the LB you couldn't quite park it, so asked for a smaller version. Luckily they had one I guess hey? /Sarcasm
