DCLB because I can haul fishing rods, tackle boxes, camping chairs, 2 tents, 3 coolers, my son's wagon, a small shovel, hatchet, and 2 ammo cans for gear with the factory tonneau cover down while fitting myself, my buddy Dan upfront, my wife, her bestfriend, and my 16 month old in the rear seat comfortably. This is a regular loadout for this time of the year.

Yeah, but who's nailing your wife's best friend? You or Dan?

Im used to my long bed. Load up my four wheeler, kayak, fishing rods. Can take more stuff to the land fill. In fact a short bed would be pretty useless. Might as well get a SUV and a trailer.

No lift but putting KO2s on and removing the chin spoiler definitely help balance the rake a bit and make it look a bit lifted.

I like the looks of the AC, I think is the best of both worlds. Never really like the look on the LBDC. But sometimes is not about looks but whats practical for your purposes.

I think the DCLB looks better in the darker colors like MGM and black.

DCLB's look great with a lift and tires. Stock, they look goofy and stretched out.

I've resisted many temptations to spend money on lift/tires for my DCSB, mostly because I think it looks good from the factory. If I had a DCLB, I would have ordered a lift/tires long ago just to fix the weirdness.

Honestly, i think both the DCSB and the DCLB look kind of goofy when you stare at them long enough.

The DCSB looks stubby and the DCLB looks a tad too long. Toyota should just make a 5’5” bed for the DC and be done with it.

I went with the DCLB because after driving a DCSB for 2 years, there were just way to many times where i needed the extra bed space.

I do agree, bigger tires and a lift help balance out the length of the LB. I like my bed bars too, a cap makes it look like a mini van though.

Well put. And good point on the DCSB looking stubby, I know what you mean. A happy medium would be nice...

I find a lift does a great job at making long beds look less awkward. Even tires slightly bigger like a 265 75 16 helps the look.

I do like my DCLB stock too though. I think only certain angles make it look awkward. No regrets. I got what I want.
Second choice would be an AC.
