Short box vs Long box

what if you have another truck with bigger bed and a big trailer like we do? than the short is great. and i know i can get my dirt bike in the back.

 

if stowing stuff in the back was what i was worried about, i woulda kept my F-150

I had to think about functionality (not off-roading) first when I purchased my truck. My wife even commented on how the SB's look "funny." I couldn't agree more.

 

Id say it comes down to what you use your truck for.. I wouldnt even call the short bed a truck with its little novelty bed.

 

It's still a truck..

 

So is an Avalanche

 

I hope you are not comparing the short beds to the Chevy Avalanche..

i've always said if you have to make two trips when you buy a washer dryer set you dont own a truck

i camp in my bed too, and im only 5'8'. any smaller and id be in trouble

now obviously its per each persons taste and uses, if you love your short box, or your avalanche for that matter, i am sincerely happy for you

Also, i know its "called" a "Longbox" but to me the options for the tacoma were more, short or standard. long would be longer than stock.. Like my old ext. cab LOOONG box Silverado, that thing was a limo to park!

 

I think short beds look better anyway.

 

In all honesty , the DCSB is uncommon in Canada .

You can't get a DC Offroad here .

You can do just about anything with a short bed.....

 

Regular or Access Cab then long bed.

Double Cab then short bed...besides short bed barely fits in my garage.

 

I have a DCSB easier to park and looks better. Long bed would be nice 1% of the time
