The 6' standard bed on an access cab and long bed on a double cab is the same thing. The names are just different (not to mention the whole trucking world calls a 6' bed a short bed). I think Toyota should stop all the confusion and name the double cab short bed (5') something other than short bed. Maybe super short bed, mini bed, micro bed, etc...

Hey, so being the proud owner of the truck for all of two days I am already considering a host of mods. My question is really how much does the LB diminish your off road capabilities? I hear alot of people talking aesthetics but not alot about true tested capability. Saw Black Night's rig and it look pretty capable. Thanks!:D

I went with a short bed, it looks so much better, but at the end of the day it really comes down to what you use the truck for. However if i was going to get a truck I need a larger bed for it would of been a tundra

No, the Avalanche looks like a Ridgeline. The short bed looks like a long bed, just shorter. Derp.

Too bad you cannot order a long bed double cab with a 5 speed manual shift. I think Toyota is missing the boat for this option.

I was foolin around on the Toyota website yesterday and it would not let me build one.
