I feel weird that everyone says long box for functionality, short box for looks haha. I think the exact opposite. I love the look of the long box but I'd rather have the short box for the better off road functionality, turning radius, and general maneuverability.

^^ Im thinking sortta the same way! But the extra space is nice when you have to haul something.... :)

Im thinking about going SB next though... I dont haul much at all. and I hate parking this Longer Bed sometimes.
Shoot! the Wheel base is alittle bit more then my dads 90' Dodge D250 single cab pickup with an 8' bed.. and length is the same... Snot Cool!!!
    That Dodge is huge!

8' bed, a little over the top for me, either you have to have a huge lift to make it seem proportional or actually just work in construction.

I used to have a F150 crewcab longbox, and I found that, having the 4 doors made me use the bed alot less because I can just put most of my stuff in the back seat so it doesn't fly around. But you still have the bed if you need it for large stuff or dirty gear etc. Great for me because I'm usually not hauling large amounts of equipment.

I think long box are awsome too. Just showing extra love for all DCSB because I own one. No need to get personal. And please don't mock my words like that, I never said " DCSB is gay".

Having owned both, I prefer my current DCSB. I don't use it for work, if I did I would go long. Small trailer handles all large loads the bed can't.

Unsure if this has been covered previously, but one thing to consider is what type, if any, of tonneau you may later install. i have a retractable bedcover that takes up a foot of space, leaving me with a SB's usability, so, glad i chose the LB ;)

that was actually built and hauls/drive regularly. I believe it has the ability to hold up to 250 gallons of fuel, fully loaded. It is/was a SEMA concept, and does actually work
