I finally plasti-derped the shiny emblems so they wouldn't distract me.

I like the long box because I find that it's more capable to fit more things and more useful. The only thing that bugs me about it is parking. Some parking lots are so damn small. I always back in to the stall but there aren't a lot of parking lots that you can put the box on a curb, grassy area etc.

Unless one has a specific item that fits the long box (like a kayak or bicycle, camper, etc.)...the point is moot.

I have the short box and have built homes with it.

If it doesn't fit in the box...or hang out comfortably...or in through the sliding rear window...

    it gets delivered.

actually in construction...most materials get delivered.

who of you long bed drivers have had a bunk of 2x6x10' in your Tacoma?...or a bunk of 3/4" plywood?...trusses? how about a few 6-0 x 8-0 french double doors? a cube or 2 of brick? pallet of conc. block? pallet or 2 of roofing shingles?..............

    True

If all you're hauling is shoes , the Doublecab Shoebox Bed is more than manly enough

I like a short tight box, those stretched out long boxes are no good.
