Varies by population densities, "city" trucks typically get the 3 leaf. That's based on where they were intended to go, not necessarily where they were sold. Even with the tow package I got a 3 leaf :(

That's a good point. Although my off-road is hardly a smooth ride, so they should put the 4 leaf on certain packages at least.

Is there any certain reason why Canadians prefer smaller trucks for work, compared to full size?

As far as hard physical evidence no. This was reason I was given casually by a rep when I worked at a dealership (college summers). Maybe it works differently outside of gulf states toyota, maybe he was a lying pos, but this was what was presented to me.

Yep, those little green boxes under your name are your visible rep. Go into your control panel and at the bottom of your subscribed threads there is recent reputation, so you can see what you got, either negative or positive. I sign my name in the comments when I rep someone, but it is anonymous for people who don't. The scales in the lower right corner under a member's vehicle description is how you give reputation to someone. Near the quote bubble and the exclamation report symbol.

Woa, OK, if I'm not liking something I can bad rep it. Man I'm old, thought this was just words and info.
I'm fucked, don't come across well in person, how the hell do I expect to come across on the computer?
    Thanks Agent Smith

You're welcome, and if you like something, you can positive rep it as well. When you are in the rep drop down screen, just make sure you check the box that you either approve or don't approve of the post you are repping.

I think it's because we own less vehicles per capita so we tend to make a smaller truck do double duty as a DD and work truck instead of having a dedicated DD , offroading fun vehicle and a full size truck

This is my only vehicle. Insurance cost too much to have more.
These mid size trucks do all I need and are capable off road. I dont boulder, so I dont see an issuse with a slightly longer wheelbase.
I had a shortbed and it didnt hold what I needed when 5 of us piled in to go camping.

did this with my SB today. did just fine other than having one slide off the side. fence sections that are about 8’ did not tie them down, since i was not going on the road. just moved from up by the house to down by the barn.

Came from a 2002 Xtra Cab Tacoma into a 2006 Double Cab Tundra. LOVED the 6.5 ft bed, my 10' longboards hung out much less with the extra length and width of the Tundra bed. Could bring everything and the kitchen sink camping. Really missed my manual trans, so I was stuck with a shortbed tacoma (needed double cab). Never liked em much before I got one. Now I love it. Fits everything fine (plus roof rack), I love the manual (short bed), and I wouldn't trade it for anything other than a long bed manual :D
