Short box vs Long box

If I was a crappy driver and couldn't park I guess I would have bought a short bed too...

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I like the LB, as do many others. It seems a few more prefer the SB. Fine. It's your truck. I don't know why you dummies argue over it. My DCLB is still 4" shorter in length than my dad's ext cab 6'6" bed Silverado. It's not that much longer.

The only problem with the bed IMO is that the wheelwells are too close. I'd like to see 49-50" between them for sheets of plywood and such. Plus my grizzly would fit then.

 

Long beds look funny to me. Short beds *can* be more versatile and a lot of it has to do with personal needs, anyway. The only stuff I throw in the back of my truck is wood and supplies for camping for a night or two. I could get by with just a car but I live in the great PNW and like to enjoy the off road trails we have around here.

 

My wife can park my DCLB no problem

Short bed looks better to me but a long bed is handy if you work with your truck a lot.

 

DCSB: too much cab, not enough bed

DCLB: Good proportion, high center capable

 

From what I hear long boxes can offroad just as good. People offroad in Tundras so a 1 foot longer tacoma should not be a problem.

 

Love my long bed.
