I think it looks odd with the tires so close to the cab on a 4 door shortbed.

Since @Sp02 was looking at a RWD DCLB, I dont think trail turning radius and other off roading concerns are high on his list of worries.

The DCLB will be fine for a city truck.

Defiantly ride better, first thing I noticed when I test drove a short bed was how much rougher it was. I came from a 2nd Gen longbed before this truck, I didn’t even realize there was a 5’ option till I went shopping for my 3rd Gen :p

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit I guess.

OP, like all other rational pickup truck owners, has already determined the long bed is the best option.

OP has moved on to "what color should I get.

The correct question, since op only gets to ask once, is "what color would the other guardian pick for me? Whatever answer he gets, he needs to choose the other color.

Sorry to you all, I am just busting chops for fun.

Don't take any of my responses in this thread seriously.

    Cheers

LOOOOONG. The only exception would be if you park in a garage; make sure the LB will fit!

Longbed with a topper - that way you can actually put your skis, bikes, sleep in there, etc. Short beds are for those with small garages, the first "truck" they've bought, or truly offroad to the max. Truth be told, I like the looks of short and long beds, but I love my long bed.

I bought a short bed for a few reasons:
    1. Only silver sky the dealer had.
    2. NYC/Long Island = Parking nightmares
    3. I have access to a trailer if necessary
    4. Originally was looking at a 4Runner anyway.
    5. Not that it really matters in the end but “ma’ truck wuz built in ‘Merica!”
    And the most important reason?
As someone who’s got a physical body type like that of a bulldog or silverback gorilla; I feel that my DCSB TRD-OR is an extension of me. Whenever I look at it I can’t help but see my truck sitting all proud with it’s short stubby stature and pronounced shoulders looking like it’s ready for a fight.

    Does that sound ridiculous? Perhaps.

But don’t mess with us short folk, we go straight for the knees. :D

Sadly us with MT don't get the choice. But if I could I would get DCLB with 6MT.

FYI, I can put 200cm skis, 29er bikes in the 5' bed no problem. Skis do need to go diagonally, but I think you need to angle it on the LB as well. Can't sleep in it, though. Comfortably, anyway.

By the way, THIS is a longbed. You 6'ers have a regular bed. I've got a short bed.
