I drive a ext cab half ton at work all day, I’m more than happy to jump back in my DCLB at the end of he day. It’s still much easier to park and more nimble than the half ton that’s only slightly longer.

Pretty much all you see where I live is DCLB’s a handful of AC, and I know where all 3 DCSB’s are parked that I’ve seen, and then there’s the other two 2nd gen short beds I’ve seen. I’d say it’s like 100:1, LBvsSB where I live, it’s an island with 125,000 people who apparently have no issues driving a DCLB.

Roof rack. OEM, or there are a ton of aftermarket. Then the bed is available for whatever, and you can still tow if you want.

No roof rack for me. Too far to lift in the air and easy to blow off. The bed extender is the way for this old man

Does Toyota make a long bed anymore ?
All I ever see is those 5 foot boxes on quad cabs and the 6 foot short bed on the excess cabs.
I think Toyota used to make long beds (7.5 - 8 ft)
Id like to see a picture of a long bed if they still do.

    It's complicated.
Yes, and they do make the Tacoma with the double cab and 6' bed configuration.

Quicksand with hood protector, color matching decals on tailgate latch, mudflaps, glovebox, and tailgate hitch cover.
I got a short bed because I rarely use it to haul anything, but use it for a personal vehicle. I like the way the short bed looks too. However, because it was hard for me to find a quicksand trd sport 4-door 2wd short bed, I was actually at the dealer and they had a truck exactly like what I wanted, BUT it was a long bed. It was actually parked right beside another trd with a short bed, so it was easy to compare them side by side. I also have a short driveway, so that was yet another reason to just go with the short bed, which I wanted anyway. The bottom line is, as others have said, it is purely a matter or preference. BUT as someone else also said, if you are purchasing an access cab, then I think the 6ft bed or long bed is the way to go. In fact, I don't even think you can get a short bed on an access cab, or I may be wrong.
