On Thanksgiving morning I got a call from my cousin that my Mom was very sick. She lived in Nampa, Id which is about 400 miles from where I live in Sparks, Nv. I packed a bag, hopped into my Tacoma, and hauled ass up to Idaho. When I got there I was able to get my Mom into a hospital and after a long day in the ER, they sent her to another hospital in Boise. I drove back home on Saturday and after discussing things with my wife we drove back up to Idaho the next weekend and moved her in with us. It was the right desicion, she is doing great now.

After returning from Idaho we got hit with a huge snow storm and bitter cold temperatures. I've had to use 4x4 alot lately and have literally beaten the crap out of my truck over the last 3 weeks. Through it all, my truck has never let me down. Even pulling the 6% grade out of Nampa on hwy 95 with a full load in the bed, the truck never wavered. With all of the stress I've been through lately, it was nice to have a truck that I completely trusted. BTW, even hauling ass, not caring about fuel economy, I still managed 23 mpg on my road trips.:D

My mom is doing great. She was too stubborn to call me and ask for help, so basically my cousin saved her life. I won't go into the details of her medical issues, but she is well on her way to recovery. Thankyou for your kind words.

Glad to hear your mother is better. There is a great satisfaction to know your truck will be there for you no matter what, just me.
