    can the shifter be changed with the transmission still in the truck? manual transmisson

    2013 SR5 double cab
    TDR shifter install - Easy, peasy. The center console comes out. The shifter hub is spring loaded - push down in the center part and 1/4 turn CCW. It lifts out. Then remove 4 bolts on the housing and install the spacer. Reinstall the housing with the longer bolts. Insert new shifter and pop the hub back into place. Reinstall the center console. Took me less than 1/2 hour on mine.
