    Hello,
After replacing my upper control arm today, I noticed what seems to be some play in my front driver side axle where it connects to the differential. I'm finding out this is somewhat 'normal' and there is potential needle bearing issues with a bushing replacement for mitigation.

The only potential symptom I can say I've noticed since I've owned this truck, is occasional vibration in the floorboard.

The truck only has 70,000 miles on it and has only been lifted two and a half inches for about 8,000 miles. The vibration I sometimes feel, was observed before the lift.

Because I don't seem to notice many symptoms is it still recommended I swap out the needle bearings? Does the video indicate excessive play that could be dangerous/cause issues? The vehicle is on its own weight during the vid.

    Thanks all!

That amount of play seems normal to me. I had a little more than that on mine and swapped out to the ECGS bushing for shits. No change.

How's the rest of your driveline?

Good info regarding a comparison to yours. Thank you. I think the driveline seems okay. Without getting super into it, I haven't felt any play near any of the joints or anything. The 65k my dad put on it were very easy going miles. not to say that things can't wear out with that mileage and age.

Yeah, mostly just wondering if that seems like excessive movement and anything I should worry about

    That normal. You’re totally ok.
