So as some of you know, I just bought a 2017 Trd Sport fully loaded. I also bought the all weather floor mats. I pick it up on Thursday after work and I want to know if I should also get the factory floor mats as well. I dont remember seeing them in the truck when I test drove it but dont they come with factory mats and the all weather is optional?

I believe the carpet mats are added under optional equipment. All-Weather floor mats are also added under optional equipment, so I don't think they would come with both. It also might depend on your area distributor.

it won't come with both. I regret getting the all weather mats from Toyota. They aren't bad but the passenger side is not retained and slides forward. The driver's side is good but not as good as the Weather Tech. That is about the only complaint I have against my 17 4x4 OR DCLB.

Here in our region, carpet mats are standard equipment on new vehicles. Even if you also have all weather thrown in to the deal.

I had the factory all weather mats in my truck and definitely would not recommend them. I switched to a set of Husky Liners and couldn't be happier! Don't move around and offer much more coverage! Hope this helps!

I paid $218 for factory all-weathers but went to Weathertechs because the passenger factory mat slides all over the cab. I hear guys on this forum say good things about Husky mats.

In my area, all mats are optional. So standard if u don't check the box for carpeted or all weather,or both, u will not get floor mats on any trim except pro witch comes with carpeted trd pro embossed mats standard.

I had the all weather mats. They suck and I've wanted to change them since day 1.

I wanted weather techs, but got husky liners for christmas and can't complain. Now the passenger mat doesn't slide around either.

Factory ones are a waste IMO.

Carpet mats and all weather mats were options in my area. Mine came with no mats. I went out and bought my own.

Get them if you want them. Don't get them if you don't want them, assuming they're an option in your area.

I paid $102 for my OEM all weather mats. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017YAIJYM

When I ordered them the folks at WeatherTech couldn't tell me if their 2016 mats fit the 2017s and I much as I figured they'd fit I wasn't taking a chance on my dime. OEM passenger mat moves a little, hasn't bothered me much. It'll be solved with the fix posted elsewhere that adds clips.

Another vote for WeatherTech. I go into and out of the truck with snow, salt and other dirty muck on my shoes. WeatherTechs are tall enough to hold all the melting and keep the carpet dry.

I have the all weather mats. I see no reason for carpet as you dont use both at the same time. I dont have issues with the all weather mats other than the passenger sliding but I fixed that with VW OEM mat screw thingamajigs

My off road came with carpeted mats, didn't know I could choose otherwise. Ended up buying weather techs a month after.

I ordered the all weather mats, then got the Weather techs here on a group buy, the all weather are taking up space in my basement.

No. Never waste a nickel on factory floor mats these days. My recommendation is the WeatherTech floor liners. Great value.

Definitely bypass the OEMs. The coverage difference between the oem and a husky is ridiculous (see last image). Had Weathertechs on my 2nd gen but switched to the Husky Weatherbeaters on my '16 since Weathertech was a little slow. No regrets as the fit and finish seem to be better with Husky based on the pictures I've seen. Weathertechs go a bit higher up the sides but the Huskies go higher under the pedals covering the entire dead pedal. If I were buying today, I'd probably go with the Husky X-Act Contours for the softer rubber feel though.

I switched from carpet to all weather when I ordered my truck. Although the order was clear, months later when it arrived at the dealer it had carpet mats. I pointed this out, and the dealer looked up the order and said "you're right." When the truck was prepped and I could pick it up, the all-weather mats were in it and the carpet mats were thrown in the back. Nothing wrong with the all-weather mats. Shell it out and get some sort of other stuff that might work as well.
