Yes I know the drawbacks to the flowmaster design and the various negative nicknames for them haha, but the super 44 just sounds so good. My wicked doesn't sound bad by any means and I'd be willing to sell it if anyone wanted it (13 inch). So what's everyones opinion? I just want it louder with more rumble that I can hear rather than just the "bass" of the wicked flow.

And please no straight pipe suggestions haha and I've had magna flow before and it sounds just like the wicked flow just quieter

    ^^^This is my vote.

But you'll likely do whatever you want, so do it if you like the sound... That's why mine is the way I have it. I like it that way

I may look into the aero more as well, not too common on here but whoever has them seem to love it haha. My wicked flow does have a very deep sound but it does drone at highway speeds anyway which seems to be a complaint with the fm and it doesn't bother me anyways. The wicked flow just doeant seem to have an actual sound it's just like a loud bass drum haha it's hard to explain but it kinda just sounds like a constant drone with no change in frequency, magna flow was the same way I guess

I did. The super 44 is like the next step above the 13" WF. No real noticeable drone or drop in mpg.

dumped over the axle. had it for a few weeks where the stock was but chopped it.

tone changed a little bit after dumping it but not enough to make a difference.

Where did you get yours from and how much? Don't feel like paying for shipping so I'm gonna see if I can get one of the auto zones to order me a offset inlet center outlet. Is yours the stainless one?

After doing some YouTube searching, I think the aero turbine sounds good too but just seems a little raspier/ricier than the flow master. Have any of you guys had experience with a flowmaster 40 series and the aero 2525?

Ya the aero has a very distinct sound to it that's for sure and it's growing on me, just a little prIcy tho but we will see in a couple weeks when the next pay check comes around lol. Still tryin to figure out whether to set my billies at 1.75" or .85" when I get them put in Tuesday (worried about vibes)

I have. Some of the aero turbine videos on youtube that you have seen may be mine... Same username. A guy I know that used to have a tacoma ran a 40 series on his '08. There was a certain range where his muffler sounded GREAT, but every other part of the band it was just loud and raspy as fuck! He loved it though, and it's whatever floats your boat I figure. Super super loud though, if that is your thing.

I like the drone. It actually sounds like a truck!! I have the same wicked flow except I have the 2 1/4 instead of 2 1/2 piping. I agree with the monotone sound though, I was also hoping for a change in pitch somewhere in the powerband.

pretty much once i get over 70 mph in 6th gear so around 2500 RPM, which seems to be the area of droneage haha. I had the exhaust dumped over the axle and that was way worse, once i had the side exit back it helped. The muffler is a good muffler and doesn't get annoying with the drone

So you are saying that the 2525 is quieter than the 40 series? I am looking for loud haha but it seems that the 2525 is just as loud if not louder than the 40 series, even with your vides which i watched all of btw

yes i agree, i don't mind the drone if it has a distinct sound to it and like we both agree on the Wicked Flow has one sound and thats it. I think its kinda like a low horn? haha. Idk its not bad but i'm def a little disappointed, the Aero is really growing on me tho as it seems to have that rumble at idle and has some crackle to it which i like rather than the monotone smoothness of the WF
