    Working on it.
Wheel with freinds or get a winch....HAVE fun. Best thing about two wheel drive is it wont allow you to get REALLY stuck.....hopefully.

I suggest not modding the truck. Go with try some easy stuff then see if it is something you want to pursue seriously. If so, before modding your 2WD, you might consider trading it in for a 4WD. Some of the guys I offroad with have a nice daily driver Toyota truck and an old beater for offroading. Think about the amount of money you would put into modding your new Taco...you could use that money to purchase someone's already-modded 4WD.

Take a class, preferably from this guy. It's spendy, but it's the best money you will ever spend.

Join a reputable club in your area. It doesn't matter the vehicle, only that they wheel responsibly and safely.

Don't always assume that somebody who has a modded truck or says they've been offroad 'forever' knows what they are doing. There's a bunch of idiots who believe doing things wrong enough times will produce a right answer.

Above all, you will need help and friends. Both for safety and learning.

If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't. Honestly
