Does a homeless man worry about the cost of a gumball ?
Does a millionaire worry about the cost of a Porsche ?
Does someone who doesn't like their Taco and have no money left bitch all day instead of flipping it ?
It all depends where you are really.

All this succeeded in doing was giving me a really sad image in my head of an old homeless man staring at a gumball machine, holding a quarter with a look of want and remorse in his eyes, wondering if he could afford a gumball and hoping it would turn out to be a blue one. And he ends up with a red one. Red ones suck.

Homeless guy ended up with a third gen that didn't run because the cps failed, rear diff locked up and the third brake light leaked so he couldn't even sleep in it.

Outside of smitty, everyone telling you not to get a third gen own second gens. Perhaps they are just jealous or don't realize how awesome a third gen is. :notsure:

I've owned both the TRD OR and the 2.7.

I actually like the 2.7 a lot to be honest.

My v6 got about 13-16 MPG

    My 2.7 gets 19-22.

I don't tow much at all. I basically only want a manual transmission as well. Both mine were manual, and at work we have patrol trucks that are automatics. I much prefer manual, and manual access cab. So for the v6 that basically just leaves me with the Sport, which costs the exact same amount as the Off road in my area.
Better off spending the saved ten grand with the 2.7 to use for aftermarket stuff.

    That's just me though.

The 2017 base models are selling really cheap brand new right now ..
But I guess maybe I'll wait a few years and save extra money. Hopefully the prices on their new trucks don't rise by the time mine is paid off (About 3 years maybe less).

My truck has been boringly reliable, so I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it.
