    desert sand is an awesome color!! it was my 2nd choice behind silver when i got my 06, but i went with the silver.

    Disregard the M70 laying on the tool box. I waited two months on this color, that was the deal that took so long. It's filthy right now but 20 foot away you can't tell it because the road splash around here is beige colored. Cooler than a darker color here in Texas and blends into the surroundings better than a bright colored vehicle. I really wanted OD green, but this is the next best color. :)

    I checked the Toyota factory numbers back in April and then bought the least common Tacoma color--Desert Sand Mica--so that I had the most unique color possible! A previous post was correct that it doesn't show dirt and it stays cooler than other colors.

    Note that it is NOT gold--gold was a color from the 1960s. :D
