I use an Exped SynMat M.
About 41 x 72. Fits between wheel wells and the 6 ft bed.

 

I have the Airbedz Lite air mattress. It goes around the wheel wells. My wife and I sleep very well on it.

 

you happen to have dogs by chance? we were looking into these as it wouldn't take up to much room and you can just run the dc pump from the back to fill it. but a little worried my dog may pop it.

 

I do have a dog, but he's never been on it. So I can't say how it would do. It's pretty sturdy material though, compared to cheaper mattresses.
Not sure what kind of dog you have, but if you put sleeping bags or a blanket on top of it (that's what we do), your dog wouldn't be directly on the mattress. That might help.

 

Camping set up for a shortbed. I can get a queen size mattress back there.

 

That's what I was thinking too I watched a lot of YouTube videos on it last night and it seems really well built. Do you have a short bed or long bed? I'm wondering if it will cover the whole bed including the tailgate.

 

Cool set up this is actually what made me look into tents for truck beds and how I decided on my napier I love it

 

2001 ExtraCab 4WD

The mattress covers the whole bed. Stops at the tailgate, which is good for me. I have a truck bed tent as well. So the tailgate is where I sit, legs dangling out while the rest of me is in the opening of the tent. If the mattress covered the tailgate, I wouldn’t be able to do that. And I’m short (5’8”).

 

2” memory foam topper from Amazon worked great. Extension for multiple sleepers also worked great.

 

Here’s my camping setup from this weekend. Still refining it a little bit. Wanting an ezlift insulated adventure model eventually and a pull out drawer system.

 

Have the same napier setup and stuff. Looking at that air matress currently. Looks awesome man

 

Get it. I have the Airbedz Lite. It works very well. When folded, it's maybe the size of standard pillow. I can probably get it smaller, but I don't need to.

 

Good to know I just need to know which size to order for a 4dsb
