Time to change the name of this thread...

Im not prejudice about what motorcycle you ride, but it does say "show off your Harley" not show your motorcycle. i love all 2 wheeled machines. I have had hondas, suzukis, kawasakis, and yamahas, but my real pride has been Harley Davidsons, and it changed my life.
Most of my uncles, friends and my own father ride BMWs. My grandfather used to ride Harleys in the 40s, as did my great uncles, and some of my distant cousins, and my brother for awhile(until he had 3 kids), so Harley has been in my blood for a very long time. I was 28 when i bought my first Harley, and wanted one since I was 5. I might buy a different brand someday, but right now, i cant imagine riding anything but.
thanks for showing off your motorcycles guys.
Keep the rubber side down, and shiny side up!

    Hey myrc,
    No offense at all.
Just thought that it might open up for more people wanting to show off their 2 wheel scoots, and to not limit it to Harleys> that why i suggested changing the Thread name.
Sorry if I sounded offensive as that was not my intention.
    Its All Good!

Here's my old "Harley". I sold it last April after I finished grad school to make room for student loan payments. I want an 1125R now. I think I'll wait until I can find a good price for a used 09 or newer. I really didn't like the blue frame and wheels from the 08s, and I know there was some issues with them the first year as well.

WOW! Nice Black Out! Did you paint it, or replace with other Buell Parts?
The 1125 CRs are pretty bad ass. Do it!
Have you seen what they are doing with the Blasts? Check out the website.:)

Thanks! There was some painting, some powdercoating/jet hot coating and some replacing going on there. I bought that bike new in August of 04 and sold it a couple weeks after that bottom picture was taken in April of 08. A lot of time and money went in to that bike, and I was really sad to see it go.

To add insult to injury the stupid "kid" (about 20) that bought it from me wrecked it and it got stolen within 48 hours of his picking it up from me. I told him he had no business buying the bike from me, but I let him come pick up the bike the day the check cleared. It was his first bike.... Real smart, buy a sub 400 pound bike with razor sharp steering/braking, over 100 hp and over 85 ft lbs of torque for a first bike. I knew what was going to happen when he rode it away. He didn't even have full coverage insurance....

    The definition of a squid.

I like the cr's, but I like having some wind protection and the seating position is better suited for my riding on the r model. I think any of the 3 colors (black/black, red/black, white/black) would look pretty badass in the back of my blacked out taco.....

Thats just classic... Kind like men that ride mopeds for the riding test to their motorcycle license, then go buy an 800 lb Harley and crash and die within a week.
    Shit happens a lot!
too bad. but you can always buy another. A buddy of mine bought a brand new 07 Lightning in summer of 08 for like$6500.
Traded it in after riding it all summer for a 2009 Ulysses? and got $6500 trade in value for it.
Pretty sweet deal. Crazy how much bike you get for the price:)

I did that, minus the accident/death part. ;) The NJ road test is a bit silly. When I went for my initial test I had over 2000 miles under my heels on my Harley and failed miserably. I went back to the location after-hours and found that I couldn't even walk the bike through the course because of how tight it was.

Rode the Harley to the test site, dropped the $75 for the scooter rental, passed, and rode off on the Harley.

At this point I've over 60,000 miles on 2 wheels with only 1 incident where a pickup turned right with his left turn signal on and drove me off the road. I'll never trust turn signals again.

Hey thanks! Nothin better than bikes and babes.
I dont have bikini chicks crawling all over it like yours though.
Love Road Kings! If I could do it over again, I would probably get a road King.
But I really want the 2010 CVO Street Glide in Blue now.

    Glad you are ok.
Have you thought about taking the advanced riders safety course?
no matter how good a rider you are, those classes will teach you a lot.
I am going to take it again next year, even though I ride everyday and have never been in an accident in my almost 30 years of riding a bike. Well about 20 on the street. It is invaluable!
Think you could pass the test today?

Definitely considered the advanced rider course, but like all things I need the time. With my Tacoma build soaking up so every waking hour the motorcycles have been used very little this year.

As a result, there's no way I could pass the course today. 2005 was an epic riding year for me, so if ever I could it would have been then.
