My bike is a Jamis Dakar with mechanical v brakes. I'm pretty sure its a 2005 model and it's just the base model. It's all stock pretty much.

I really didn't care for Life Cycles. Too artsy, too much slow-mo, not enough riding.

Follow Me was my favorite film of last year. Much more fun.

Call Trailhead over off Union. They usually have a pretty good stock of videos.

Just got a gopro cam with all the mounts for everything. Will be makin some mt bike videos this wknd to try the cam out. Got surf movies, kayak movies, offroading and driving videos to be making next.

****Age 50, won't be no tailwhip backflip superman seat grab Xgames shit going on tho, mostly old dudes riding thru the woods splashing thru water crossings catching some air here and there. I know...booooo, but I've broken enough shit before there were cameras like this so go to utube or fuel to watch that. Doubt my vids will be going virile but oh well. Gots to fuel retirement at this point and not immobilize myself doing all that young whippersnapper stunt shit and payin a bunch of medical bills.*****

Ah man I want a gopro camera now. :(

Haha, have fun making the videos man! I'm only 23 and I'm somewhat afraid to be as reckless as I used to be in my high school years (not too long ago  graduated in '05). I have way too many scars on my shins from pedals to last me a life time. ahahaha. I used to bmx, but mountain biking is my thing now, but the fact that there are some pretty lame trails here in San Antonio, TX doesn't help out much either. haha

I need to get a good helmet, gloves, and some shin guards so I can gain back some of my recklessness. haha

Refreshing mt biker attitude about riding & one of the hanging single speeds is a Supergo Access frame. I have an older 2001 model Supergo XC frame, the yellow with blue on it and the funky head tube badge that says stay on trails on it. I don't see many of those frames around here. Mine is 9 speed dual control full xt with avid mech discs on it. Has performed flawlessly thru 10 yrs of merciless poundings from 200+ lb gorilla riding it too.

On a seperate note, need to foto all my bikes and post them up. Most would be considered vintage to outdated but they are good ones which is why they made it this far. Wanting 29er 27 speed disc setup...always 1 short of how many I need. That one would make 11 for me and 3 for the wife, lol................

I hear ya on the shin thang. I refuse to ride offroad clipped in. I do have mt clipins on my road bike tho. BMX wasn't an acronym or industry back in 70s when I rode yamaha moto bikes and such. Dove back into mt bikes in 1992 and haven't looked back.

Dude, you got Bandera close by, Kelly Creek Ranch near Fredericksburg, bunch of state parks, stuff all around Austin, Wimberly, etc.........

Got a deal on it earlier this month at a tent sale.

Still lots of snow in CO. Can't decide what to do... I'm either heading to Arapahoe Basin to ski or Fruitta, CO to mountain bike this weekend. Either way its gonna be sweet! :woot:

I'm just hoping I don't get the "mod bug" like I did with the truck!

:eek:H my god, STALKER! HAHA jk man, yea, but I want wide open spaces, with hills, and dirl trails where I can just haul ass. Most of the trails here, are small, very rocky, and to curvy with a bunch of trees in the way, that I can't just go as fast as I would like. haha, either way though It's still a good time. :) And some of those places are too far just to go for a bike ride, like Austin for example. Yea, I'm a cheap ass on gas. haha

That thread and vids on utube are what inspired me to go with this setup. Not sure what kind of video I'll end up with this wknd since I ordered every mount they had but didn't order the LCD screen for it until this morning. Without that $80 item there is no way to see what you're shooting without just doing it and hoping for the best then playing it back on the TV or computer. Been trying out all the possible mounting points on the bike and me. Will most likely just shoot 960p since it is the res with best height and width for beginners (and blind folks not using the LCD, lol)

Figured it'd be OK but also will be using this for stills and time lapses so the LCD afterthought still applies but agree about the additional bulkiness, especially if helment or chest mounted. I'll most likely just use it to learn the field of vision of the lense for awhile then go without it while filming. Sure it will help battery life be shorter too. I did have enough snap and coin to go ahead with the 2nd battery, fog inserts and extra lense replacements up front tho, lol.
