Actually just looked it up because I had never even heard of it. It's supposed to be 10x better at protecting against cracks and breaks and stuff. Plus 'hydrophobic' and all that. I wonder if that would be a good thing in CO... obviously not buying at the dealer, but putting it on myself.

Huh maybe i should stop laughing and look into it to save my 3rd taco windshield from breaking. Nothing id want to install though, super strong acid etches the windshield smooth chemically. Or something like that. Know it isnt enjoyable to install at all for an experienced detailer. Id be scared to do it myself and thats saying something

If this is the same stuff, their site (obviously) claim it's amazing and a half. But even if it only does half of what it says it does, it wouldn't be bad to try...the DIY kit is only $99.99

Usually 80-120ish. Lucky to make half that now in service but my hours are much better. Most people dont realize how much can be made in finance. Id say in terms of profit in a new car store service is #1, finance #2, used cars #3 and new cars #4 right about what reconditioning generates for income(next to nothing). Used to laugh hard at people negotiation over 100 bucks then get to finance and sign at +2 points, buy a warranty wheel and tire protection and scotchguard. Those 4 items usually average maybe 5000 backend profit.

I think im gonna make my next windshield out of 1/2" lexan. If it can stop bullets and hockey pucks, hopefully it can handle my chassis flex

Mine was the showroom model with TRD exhaust, roof rack, window tint, bro rims and massive Nitto off-road tires. Sales was quite upset when I demanded the stock rims and tires go back on or I walk away. Was not about to pay ~$1500 for crap I didn't want. The rest of the changes were fine with me.

They are 100% serious. I chose to not buy from them when I was looking. Only reason I'm here now is that it's more convenient to get the recall looked at. Their service department has been pretty good to me in my experience.
They've taken the SR5 past TRD Pro territory. My favorite charge is their delivery charge. We're 24 miles from where they're made. Shit. Let me drive 24 miles for a grand.

Was at Groove Toyota on S Broadway the other day, they install Toytec Boss lift kits front and rear with upgraded UCA's, upgraded wheels/tires. Pretty nice for a dealer-installed lift, not some shitty spacer lift. I don't remember the exact markup, about $7k over sticker. I guess they sell them or they wouldn't keep building them.

unfortunately there's not much you can do about the delivery charge it's a flat rate that spread out over every vehicle, sucks that you live that close and can't just do a factory pick up. But that's how they make things "fair" for everyone that are otherwise further away
