My brother is a sales manager for subaru in Sherman Oaks,CA. He was telling me that Subaru is taking $7000 off sticker and leasing out STI's for $300 a month. If anyone in interested I would recommend picking one up while they are still leasing them out so cheap. Let me know if you want more info about the deal.

It varies with the leasing option you pick. I think you can do either: 10k, 12k, or 15k a year. The other factors would be credit rating and down payment.

why would you pay 300 a month for a car for 3 years + a down payment only to not own the car at the end of the term. Put a 4th year on that and maybe a little more a month and its yours to keep!!! (I could be wrong about this but I just dont understand how it would be better to lease)

NEVER EVER EVER EVER, Put money down on a lease. If you have money to put down, always better to buy. Even if you want a new car every 3-4 years. Money down on a lease is like flushing your money down the toilet.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
    +1

It's good to lease if its a company car too. Read Edmunds guides.
I thoroughly read before I just bought my sexy new tacoma and when I went in to do business, I was slapping around the salesman in everyway possible.

P.S. If your interested, edmunds paid one of their writers to go work as a car salesman and write about the whole process of training and selling. Makes for a wonderful read and will have you saying "Crap! They did that to me!"

If I was going to drive a STI, it might be better if I got rid of that car in 3 years. There might be a lot of time with the needle bouncing around the redline. I fear that my mentality is popular and that is why I would never buy a vehicle that was leased.

The STIs can handle pretty much anything you can throw at them as long as they are tuned correctly. My friend made 500+ to the wheels with stock internals

I have always loved those cars but they are just not practical. I would do nothing but get into trouble with it.
