Anyone know how difficult/easy it is to remove the existing rear bed decals and replace with aftermarket blacked out decals? My body shop doesn't want to touch it. I got the after market decals which are a tad bit smaller in size. Hate to start removing the factory decals only to have problems.

Park it in the sun, and hit them with a heat gun. Knick up a corner with a fingernail, and pull firmly and smooth. They are pretty easy to pull off. One thing recommended to me was put a border of masking tape along the top edge of the decal, so you have a straight line reference point for the re-install.

Heat gun or hair dryer works well. Then just be careful and take it slow.

If the body shop doesn't want to do it you need to find another body shop. This is a simple job.

I had the guy who installed my tint take off all my badges to include my decals and pin stripping while he did the tint. Try to see if a tint shop that installs clear bra materials will do it. They should be happy to remove them for you.
