    Hi never had side window deflectors(rain guards). wondering what brand to get. Was leaning towards weathertech. Any recommendations??

    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly a 1998 SR5 PU, 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
    AVS is great, except after a dust storm. Be sure to hose the channels before lowering the windows if you do get a lot of dust blowing in them from the side or you will possibly scratch the glass. I think any in-channel deflector will do that though, not just AVS.

    I like mine, just have to be careful with the dust issue.

    I had avs deflectors on my last vehicle, they worked fine. I like the low profile look of the weathertech ones.

    Whatever brand you get, just make sure they are in-channel. The stick on ones are lame.

    Thanks for the recommendations. In channel it is. Anyone use the color matched avs? They look cool. I wonder how they would look

    I had avs and now have weathertech. The avs were fine and not having compared both you probably couldn't tell but weathertech have a little darker tint and seems to be made of a little bit better quality thicker plastic. I'd go weathertech unless you are trying to save a few bucks. The avs are still nice and not a bad option.
