Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing a set of weathertech floor liners and in-channel side window deflector. Does anyone have any thoughts they'd like to share before I do?

Do the in-channel window deflectors get wedged/hurt anything? It seems like they would work better than the 3M tape kind, but Are they harder on your windows?

I've used AVS in channels on 3 Tacomas with no issues. They also happen to have 3M tape to hold 'em there and seem to have no affect on window function.

I just put the in channel ones in mine. Haven't used them much because it's both cold and rainy. They don't seem to interfere with the window at all if installed correctly. On Tacoma's the windows automatically go back down if it has any interference when going up (at least my '09 and my new one do).

I had the deflectors on another truck I had no problem at all. I wouldn't use the ones that use the 3 M tape. Floor liners are great.

I run the Weathertech floor liners and am very happy with them. I've read the Husky liners are softer but I dont think they were available when i got mine. I dont have the WT in-channel deflectors but I have AVS's version, weathertech hadnt released them when I was looking, I think they are basically the same but I like the visors a lot also.

The floor liners are great. Fit really well and if your passenger side moves around and you havent done the clip trick they are wprth it just off that alone

The Husky XAct liners are softer and do not slide. The WT I had in my previous vehicle slid around and are of a stiffer material.
I had the WT window shades which made more wind noise over 40 mph and due to my tall torso, my sight line was just below the shades, so I gave them to a friend who is shorter.

I currently have a set of WeatherTechs (front & rears) that I’ll be posting for sale, if you’re interested in saving a few dollars.

Have the WT deflectors and really like them. Caution putting them in...make sure it's not really cold when you install. You have to bend the front one a fair amount to get it in. My dad broke one of his. I was lucky because I didn't see the fine print saying not to install them if below 50 degrees F.

Had the WT liners in my old 4Runner but went with the Wade Sure-Fits in the Tacoma. Really happy with them and cheaper than the WTs.

There's a trick to making the passenger side not slide around? Are there floor clips on both sides like on the drivers side?

And thanks for all the info everyone :)

You have to add clips to the passanger side. I havent noticed mine move but then again I never ride passenger in my truck.

Oh, okay gotcha. Do the laser measured floor liners have a hole for a clip on the passenger side? Or would i have to add that too?

I have Weathertech in channel window visors. They use small metal clips to apply pressure to hold them in place. No tape. I went with Husky floor liners. Better coverage than Weathertech (especially driver) IMHO, and they have sharp plastic nubs on bottom, so passenger side does not move, and does not need retaining clips. I have the Weathertech floor liners in a Subaru Forester, and prefer the Huskys, although they are both good.

Seems like I remember seeing that the AVS were lower profile than the WT shields, but I liked the appearance of the WT plastic better. It seemed a higher quality/clarity.

Can someone confirm lower profile on the AVS?
