@Nimble9 Can you explain the new version and what is different? I see they are ready for preorder on your website. Any plans for a group buy? Is $175 shipped the new price for the enhanced one?

So I’m not running any more group buys at this time, but the new version is a bit more finished and the rear is a bit larger. I’ll post photos next week when I’m back from my trip

I don't think this will work with my All Pro bed rack. It would need to go over the bed rack rail.

Would be awesome to make it so the handle bars and forks are turned so the bars don't stick out so far.

it depends on how thick the material is on the bedrail for the all pro rack, and since I'm using slots now it may be possible if you have a 2nd Gen Tacoma. That setup hasn't been done yet that I've seen, but it seems possible!

I might be interested. Id rather have them go over the rack to be able to take them om and off. Id hate to have them on permanently

4000 miles from Colorado to Bellingham and back over 2ish weeks. 80mph across Wyoming in 30mph winds - check. Rocky, potholed, nasty dirt roads outside Bend - check. Countless eyes and multiple inquires - also check.

The only issue I have had is weatherproofing around where the softopper has to go over the mounts. The softopper weather stripping is no where near adequate and even a double layer didn't last long. Need to look into alternate weather stripping if any of you have a tip.

Awesome product, excited to keep putting it to use.

Thank you so much for the trip report!!! I'd love to go on a trip like that, and I'm excited the mounts worked perfectly for you!

Post up any other photos you have, I'd love to use them for my website!

Lastly, I ditched the standard softopper foam tape a while ago and I use this: https://www.acehardware.com/departm...s/weather-stripping/weather-stripping/8201402

It's always in supply around here, and I put some inbetween the mounts and under the softopper rails. I've made it through touchless carwashes with no intrusion from the sides. Only some from the back flap flapping up.

Made some tweaks and sent it out to my super secret tester. Once I get the green light it's game on. Everything on the back end is ready!

Just wanted to say thanks for the heads up on the thru axle mount. Got the brackets installed and softopper back on, rockymounts driveshaft gets delivered tomorrow.

Did you double up on weather stripping below the softopper rail?
