    That's what I did with my softopper. Just a strip of camper seal between the mounts and piece after should do the trick.

    for work and could bring my bikes with me. :boink:

    There's two BMX tracks in the area. One in Augusta, the other in Evans. Lately I just use it to play around the neighborhood and downtown, getting too old for big air :rofl:

    anyone mount their bikes without taking off the front wheel? i mean, we have trucks.. just get up and go.

    is it possible to just get 2 front pieces then mount a bike rack holder or 2 rear pieces and just velcro the wheels on?

    I had this dilemma too, the designer was working on a setup that could mount a traditional bike rack to. I didn't want to wait, so I went with these and the literal 10 seconds it takes to put the wheel on wasn't as much of a bother as I anticipated. Takes me longer to get my riding shoes on.

    Worth noting though, you have a shortbed based on your avatar.. If you mount a bike with front wheel to the side of your vehicle, it's going to block your rear door.

    I’d need a softopper and 1st gen to guarantee that fitment, but I’ll try my best!

    i guess for some, having the rear door blocked might be cumbersome.. but for my needs and my bike setup on my older Scattante and giant, it definitely takes a longer time to deflate, then takeoff the wheel, then remount, and then reinflate my wheels (both of my bikes don't pass through the brakes without deflating) to my road bike/mountain bike. I've had fork mounted roof racks in the past, i'm just getting older now and lazy especially on a long ride when i get back.. i just want to mount and go. I know i can probably go with a hitch mount but just trying to find a more stylish mount since its a truck.

    How low do these site to the side rail? I have a Caliraised rack and have enough clearance for a 4mm Allen key only. I can kind of fit a 5mm but it starts to push down on black piece .
    Looking for a side bike rack opt

    How tight does the Cali raised rack sit next to the cab? That is the only spot I see that could be an issue. The mounts them selves are 3/16" thick steel, if thats what you are looking for. I am guessing the silver clamp is to keep some bounce out of the back tire mount, my softopper track holds mine down. PM me know if you want me to measure something specifically or I can face time you after I get off work and walk you around mine if thats better for ya. I really like mine but if your a third gen you will have to get the piece of utility track to go against the cab.

    think the way it’s set up I have enough room in the front. I don’t think the silver back clamp will fit though

    Minor stuff.
    Man, this might be what I need!!! My bike is 44” from the fork to the middle of the rear tire. I have a Body Armor bed rack and the way the side posts are set, they are less than 44”. Going to read more of this thread and do some more measurements. Glad I found this one today!!!!

    @zboulton answered perfectly, thanks :thumbsup:
    Can the whole rack slide back a few inches? If so, it might work in the front. Hard to tell from the photos, but it looks like there is enough room for the silver rear clamp as well.

    Let me know if you have any questions!

    Can’t slide it back. How many inches do you need on the side rails for the front? Rack is set up towards rear slots. Can’t move it back anymore

    I’ll have to measure, but if you could measure from the front rail to the rack mounting foot that’d be awesome!
