    Well I got in a hurry and still smudged the paint after I thought it was dry but since it's going on a truck it will have to do. Need proper hardware for the fork mount but dry fit looked great, can't wait to go on an overnighter with this.

    @Nimble9

    I'm considering to sell my topper and get diamondback cover. Will your mounts fit with diamondback cover on?

    I have a '17 DCSB.

    I got a question for you bike nerds, specific to the fork mounts you are using.

    It seems the ones linked in this post are sold out so I'm on the hunt for some others. I don't necessarily need them to be locking, I don't plan on leaving the truck alone with the bikes installed. The main goal of these mounts is to transport the bikes to my local beach this summer for when the OSV is full so the girl and I can pedal our gear over.

    Is there a specific width you need to match your bikes fork, or are most fork mounts accomodating?

    We have some beach cruisers without quick release hubs, but a quick turn of a 14mm ratchet will take the front wheels off. They both are the slotted style forks so I can use a quick release style mount for ease of use up on the SideRides during transport.

    Am I good to buy just about any quick release style mount for this, or did I need to focus on the fork widths and choose a correct mount that way?

    Appreciate any advise! Super stoked for my preorder to ship out :bananadance:

    one batch, two batch.. penny & dime.

    I think they are able to accommodate different sizes... when i got one of Joels side-ride set ups I went on Amazon and got the first one I saw that seemed decent enough (it wasnt the one he has linked)

    the bolt that you slide through that center section of the bracket is long, and threaded for most if it, so i you have some adjustment there. This set up is for my motobecane cycle cross bike. However ive test fitted my custom road bike on it too and that slim/carbon front fork works fits fine/the same

    Whoop!! Looks like Preorders were filled and I'll have mine delivered today :D

    Strongly considering painting mine white to color match the taco, but then again I don't want them to blend it too much as my dumb ass will walk right into them:rofl:

    I also have an ARE MX. I'm thinking about trimming some fiberglass to allow clearance for the brackets.

    Super stoked with how these turned out. I know cruisers are the odd man out in here, but these serve us nicely for the summer. I have the dual mounts but didn't mount the ladies bike tonight during the test fit. I was mostly concerned about my QR mounts working on my cruiser.

    Do you just need to trim where the canopy meets the truck bed to get rid of some of the gap the mount creates? Do you by chance have the walk in door ? Or just the regular canopy rear window ?

    There is a lip that drops past the top of the bedside that will need to be ground down to allow the brackets to pass through. I have the regular rear window.

    I have a Softopper that I use in the summer, so I'm not sure it'd be worth destroying my shell for this purpose.
