For those using this mount with a Softopper, has there been any water issues coming in from where the bike mount sits under the softopper bed rail? I am looking to buy one, but also sleep in the bed of my truck. I didn't want my bedding to become soaked when its raining.

I run an extra strip of camper foam seal tape and haven't had any water intrusion for years.

Did anyone else have this issue? If I mount it the way it’s supposed to be, the mount is touching my glass. That’s a rear window shatter waiting to happen. If I pull it away about 1/2” to sit flush with the bed, then the bolts are too short.

The truck has never been in an accident, and the bed is spaced equally on both sides.

I don’t have that issue with mine. Can you measure the underside part that sits on the front rail area? I want to see appx how long it is compared to what I measured on the DB version.
